Is Your Name In The Book of Life?

Do you know the world is closer to coming to an end?? Do you know Jesus is coming soon to judge the world?? Do you why is he coming back to judge the world? What are the signs you should look out for to see the end of the world is getting closer and closer? Do you even know who Jesus is?? A story is told of a man of God who died and instantly saw angels standing next to his soul. They spoke with him a brief moment and took him closer to a big book to check for his name inside this big book. It was the biggest book this man had ever seen. What is this? He asked the angels who were walking beside him. The Book of Life,  one of them said. Though he had heard many times  about it whiles he was alive on earth but he was surprised to see it physically.  When they got closer to the book, the book opened by itself and started turning page after page. Frightened and scared, he again asked the angels in a terrified voice Why is the pages turning like this.... It is looking to find if yo

Make Kindness A Contagious Act

Mrs. Anderson was driving at  top speed in the wee hours of the night. She had been told her husband had suffered a mild stroke but was in a stable condition now in a hospital in the centre of town. Suddenly, one of her tyres burst out and she stopped to check for herself but she couldn't find anyone to help her do that. So she stood there by her car waiting for a good samaritan to show up and help her out. That's when Joey Monti showed up. He asked if Miss Anderson needed help with her car and she said yes. He helped fixed another tyre into the old lady's car.  Thank you very much young man, I'm Sylvia Anderson. Here's a little token for you for your kindness towards me young man. Joey rejected the puffy envelope from Mrs. Anderson after she had told him where she was going and why. Spread the kindness on another person in my name. Make it contagious. That's all Joey said. She drove a few metres to a restaurant nearby which was still open and sat down. A

Wall of Words

If you could imagine that the four corners of your wall speaking to you in the most toughest times of your life, what do you think it will say to you? In some parts of our world today, many of us have been told to stay home amid the threats of contracting  the Corona Virus (COVID-19)  We may not know how long this stay home rule will last, but one thing is for sure, it is done solely to protect you and me. But have we thought about the negative consequences these stay home or indoors could do to those in abusive homes or relationships?? I guess we never have. Let me share a few thoughts with you. I read a story about a week ago on my  Facebook wall about a British female nurse who couldn't go home after work from the hospital she worked. Chloe will be the first one to arrive for work, early in the morning and the last one to go home late at night. Her boyfriend had been physically abusing her for months during the early stages of the viral outbreak. She will go home at night w

Everything Is Temporary

Corona Virus has proved that everything around us is so temporary. Things that our lives revolved around...work, gym, malls, movies and other social activities have all gone for a toss. These were things which used to occupy our time and attention virtually everyday, so much that we neglected what was most important to us in the first place. We are learning to live without them now, as our only option these days, is to stay indoors to keep ourselves safe. It is teaching us all  one thing,  that in the end, our home and families really matter. They are our point of safety in difficult times like these. So should this crisis come to an end, which will be very soon,   do know where your priorities lie henceforth. It is not in your work, or your insatiable ambitions. It is with your family. Mercy On The Lands Of The Earth

My heart was glad when I saw 50 more doctors sent from Cuba  to help the Italian doctors fighting this scary virus on my Facebook timeline yesterday. The world has come together as one to fight along side each other, from one country to another so we can win the war against this evil virus. The Italian doctors and the Italian people  are doing all that they possibly can to fight off COVID 19 but it seems the more they try, the more the virus continues to spread throughout their country, killing its people. The saddest thing is these Italian doctors who are at the forefront in fighting this evil virus are the same people infecting their already sick patients according to reports. This is not a deliberate act on their part. But it's because they are running out of protective gears (the face masks and other medical supplies) everyday. The affected ones have been instructed to go into self isolation and receive medical treatment until a time that the supportive medications they wi

Build Your Dreams

Build your dreams today not tomorrow Sacrifice for your tomorrow today. Because you may not have much time tomorrow as you may wish. What is stopping you now?? Is it fear, doubt or the possibility of you failing in what you want to do? Then please hear this from me; Yes.... Life is not fair. It never has been and it never will because it owes us nothing. We are each given 24 hours, 365 days every year.  Each one of us. Some use this given time well . Others don't but we will all account for our used time on earth one day. So stop blaming others and go ahead to do something meaningful with your time here on earth. I tell you my brother, my sister, you are wasting time. And you don't have the luxury of having another opportunity like this ever again. So, suck it up, move forward and build your dreams. Six Ways To Make People Like You

We live in a world today where everyone wants to be liked and be treated special by people. Would it hurt if you make it your mission to treat other people special too yourself?? Food for thought: Do you realise that a dog is the only animal in the world who doesn't have to work for a living?? A hen has to work to lay eggs, a cow has to work to give milk, we human beings have to work and sweat before we can make some money at the end of the month.  A dog only has to work hard for his master's love and affection. And it gets everything it wants. According to Dale Carnegie, here are six ways to make people like you. 1. Become genuinely interested in other people. Let people know and feel that you are genuinely (really) interested in them. Pray and fast for people you can, if they are in some kind of trouble and come to you for advice. Give them money if you have, so it can solve their physical problems and protect them if they are weak to fight on their own especially child

Value

Your value does not decrease based on someone not seeing your worth Your value decreases if you do not see your own worth as a person. The value you project unto yourself will be the same value other people will see you for Kwame Sarpong |  Freelance Writer:  Nyansa365  e: nyansa365@gmail.com | w: nyansa365.blogspot.com  m: +233205832364 | p: +233205832364 f: Otumfour Kwame Sarpong t: @kwamesarpong25 inst: iamotumfour L: Kwame Sarpong

Gratitude: The Frontliners On Duty

My friends and families as we observe our  weeks of indoor holidays because of the Corona Virus. Let us try remember and salute our doctors, nurses, paramedics  and all other health workers around the world who bravely are working to save lives under this difficult circumstances. If we can be safe in each of our homes and praying to God that this viral scare goes away,  let's remember, it is these health workers and partners who are working tirelessly 24/7 to ensure that our fears never comes closer to any of our doorstep. To the scientists and researchers also around the world who are working under tremendous pressure to find cure for this viral disease, we salute you and ask God to bless you with increased Knowledge and wisdom to find us a cure for a better global health. To the wealthy men and women with a heart of gold who are giving away large portions of their wealth to save all humankind from this infectious disease, we salute you too. God bless you. And may you never l

A Fragile World: Lessons from COVID 19

A fragile world Oh what a fragile world we live in We can't shake hands or hug our loved ones anymore Suddenly we can't breathe in good air or breathe out a sigh of relief  out of fear of contracting an airborne virus Oh what a fragile world we live in Prices of goods and services are  falling in an instant A must-have expensive product in stores has now become a less expensive product hiding in a small shelf Businesses, from giant corporations to small startups are now on the verge of a collapse What a fragile world we live in How all things can change in an instant How fragile our lives have become in a split second Fear and anxiety have pounced on us like an animal pouncing on its helpless prey Oh what a fragile world we live in Suddenly how little  our achievements and riches have become Where are they all now? Why can't we boast of them now?? I will tell you where they are They are all consumed in our fear and uncertainty of what is to happen next As

Be a Generational Thinker

One of the greatest books I have ever read is Long Walk To Freedom by Nelson Mandela. In his book he talks about the importance of leadership through sacrifice and having a sense of responsibility to develop others as much as yourself. He is seen as an icon, a leader and a symbol of peace and inspiration, not just to his dear nation of South Africa but to the whole world. But let's ask ourselves here, what really made  Nelson Mandela such a celebrated person around the world???  Sacrifice !!!! His selfless sacrifice and desire to see white and black south Africans live in harmony together in the era of Apartheid took him to prison for 27 years. Even after his release from prison in 1990, he worked together with his haters and political opponents in the spirit of unity so that a nation which was once  divided and segregated white, black people, rich and poor people, educated and uneducated can live together as one people for the sake of his generation and generations yet to come

How Failure Breeds Great Achievers

I get asked by many people a lot of times... Why do you always like writing motivational stories and messages to inspire others. What inspires you, and what do you get from doing that  every morning anyway? My answer has always been simple. To prevent people  especially you from giving up in life when you face the least form of failure. My greatest wish is to provide hope, faith and reason for you not to give up in life. I would like you to think of me   as your symbol of Inspiration for each day. Most people, ironically, think  that people who always inspire, motivate and encourage other people don't have problems,  they think they have a cozy and smooth life, that's why they are able to encourage people. But believe me, that's not true. On the contrary, those kind of people like me, are the kinds of people facing all sorts of problems, challenges and difficulties in life. The trick here, however is, I have chosen to look at  my failures, challenges and difficulties

The Today World

The world has become a strange place all too quickly. We live in a generation today where we push off people close to us to get the attention of people we barely know. Yet years gone by, we had a generation that understood the power of togetherness, staying and being together. Whether it was family, friends or the community, each knew they had a responsibility over the other. But sadly not the case today. We live in a selfish world, a globalised world but where one person is seen or feels more important than the rest of the people or groups. We are satisfied with hurting and destroying others just to fulfill our dreams and accomplish our goals. Whereas we could have achieved more if we had time, patience and the understanding to work as a group and succed together. Helping each other up as we go up and in a little time, the entire community or society goes up too. So, this has become our punishment, we live in big and grand mansions yet we are not happy. We have lots of food to ea

Your Competition

Just remember, your competition isn't other people Your competition is; Your procrastination to getting important things done Your ego, that makes you think you are above everyone else Your unhealthy eating habits and health choices The knowledge you neglect because you think you know it all or because you think others don't have an opinion on a matter because they are not intelligent The negative mindset and behaviour you're nurturing because because you think you are not worth something Your lack of Creativity. Failing to explore new ideas or try new things because you think you will fail or not succeed again. You're not in competition with anyone but yourself. A Letter To My Daughters On Women's Day

My dear daughters, this is a big occasion for you and every woman on earth. Because the whole world has chosen to celebrate you on this day. But as you are growing, do well to remember these commandments; This life owes you nothing as a woman Neither does this world You are smart and capable on your own Earn everything you want and wish for in this life Do not take crap from anyone, whether a man or a woman Do not cry Infront of anyone who does not like you, my dear daughters, for they will laugh at you and despise you Never expect things to be easy or smooth for you just because you are a woman, everyone in this world; weak or strong have to make things happen for them before they can succeed. Remember that to make it in life, it will take much time and patience. So wear patience like an armour when things don't go well for you as you planned Be gentle,  be sweet but always remember to speak bodly, stand strong and be ready to pull up your skirts to wade through difficu

The State Of Our Education System

Upon all our degrees and advancements in technology, I discovered they didn't teach us the most important things in life in school. They didn't teach us how to face or cope with problems when we have one They didn't teach us the joyful spirit in sharing and giving to a needy brother or sister They didn't teach us how to be honest and forthright in a world full of lies They didn't teach us the value in self respect, honour and dignity They didn't teach us Integrity. Having the will or desire to do the right thing consistently even when no one is watching you. And they didn't teach us the importance of human connection. The feeling of understanding when your brother or sister is in pain, needs care or love in his or her bad moments. Let's rethink the state of our education system  and our schools. An Attitude Of Gratitude

To have an attitude of gratitude is the greatest virtue anyone  can have. Because it shows that you are content with the little you have and a happy expectation of all you are yet to have and enjoy in life. If you really want your life to change, then you need to add the habit of  gratitude. I realised that our generation of today take the power of being grateful for granted. Because we are a generation that is burnt on having more and more everyday, we quickly lose sight of the important things we already have that is keeping our life afloat at this moment. It's almost as if each one of us is in competition with one another when it's not supposed to be so. I was born with a disability from birth, an advanced form of poliomyelitis. I had twisted hands and legs as a child so I was only able to crawl on the floor. That was my only way to move. I hated that and myself so much because I wanted to walk just like everybody else. I was consumed so much by hate and ingratitude t

Stop Complaining and Whinning About Your Problems

Lord, do you see  the troubles I'm going through right now??, It's beyond me. I can't bear it anymore. Lord, do you see the husband you gave me??? He is so immature and dumb. I have to do everything for him as a woman. He cannot take decisions even about his own life. I cannot marry him anymore. I'm tired of marrying a bum of a man like him. I asked you for a responsible man to marry not this good for nothing piece of bum. Because of him, I cry my eyes out every night. What did I do wrong??? Answer me lord, answer me...... Why do I  have this woman at all in my life?? She quarrels with me everyday about  little  things.... She drains my energy with unnecessary fights at night and insults me as a man from head to toe.  Why me lord, why me??? I can't marry her anymore...I'm leaving her. Many of us reading this text  right now especially the married folks can relate to this. We often find ourselves in the habit of magnifying our problems much bigger than they

Looking for Mr. Right And Mrs. Right

Any man who  tolerates all your nonsense as a woman and still finds you  perfect in his own eyes is your Mr. Right Likewise, any woman who tolerates all your stupidity as a man, and yet is able to submit under your authority as a man and love you is the Mrs. Right. No man or woman will check out all your boxes of being perfect or not a perfect match. Understand this one truth!!!! Here's a little revelation for us all to understand; there can be no decent woman or man just for only you. There are millions of decent people out there, just that they may not be that stunning model of a woman you're looking for or the man with six packs with a full beard. The moment you think of yourself too important to be in a different league than any other person just because you are wearing some designer dresses and suits and so you start rejecting suitors who you think are beneath your overrated standards, remember quickly that we all have our flaws. To help you reflect on this better, t

Hanging Out With The Wrong Friends

We all have friends we adore and love but not all of them have our best interest at heart. By best interest I mean, friends who will challenge or motivate you to aim for the best in your life. There are a lot of people (friends)we hang out with in life who are not good for us physically, spiritual and emotionally. They drain the last energy in us, and although we have great fun with them, we have the best party time with them, but honestly, they are not our good friends at all. Why?? Because they do not push us positively to aim higher in life. These are friends are friends we party with, smoke with and chase women and men with. If it never bothers any of them to ask you or cause you think about taking new directions in your life in a positive sense, not even for a day, please move away from them. Do not go close to them. They are worst to your life than poison. They can send you to an early grave without you even  knowing. You don't want to be 70 years old , broke, with no hou
