The Reason for Christmas

Everyone loves Christmas, everywhere around the world. The atmosphere of joy and the spirit of happiness and thanksgiving with our family and friends for a successful year. But do we know the real reason why we  celebrate Christmas?? We celebrate Christmas because of the birth of our lord, Jesus Christ. He was born in the city of Bethlehem in Israel,  just to save you and me and the entire world from the slavery and the bondage of sin. Jesus Christ was born on Christmas day on earth to come as a bridge to connect us humans back to God. To restore the original plan of creation back as it was. That we will be reunited with God in spirit and in our hearts. So, as we sit around with our family and friends over big fried turkey and chicken to eat and drink in celebration, let us remember ourselves and  also remember  the people who need to hear about the salvation message that Jesus Christ has brought to the world through his birth.. Someone must tell them the salvation message of Jesu

Understanding Why We Do Good/Show Kindness

Let us not do good or be kind to other people because it makes us feel good, but because it is the right thing to do and needs to be done. As humans, natutally, we want so much to be appreciated for our good works  or to receive praises or  recognition from others. As we celebrate Christmas, do an act of good to somebody, show kindness to a stranger but when you do, don't expect anything else in return. And just watch how your life will turn around in the coming year of 2020. Remember,  the good or the act of kindness that is remembered throughout generations are the ones we do  out of sacrifice not out of convenience. *Kwame Sarpong*

ETIQUETTE

1. Don’t call someone more than twice continuously. If they don’t pick up your call, presume they have something important to attend to; 2. Return money that you have borrowed even before the other person remembers asking for it  from  you. It shows your integrity and character. Same goes with umbrellas, pens and lunch boxes; 3. Never order the expensive dish on the menu when someone is giving you a lunch/dinner. If possible ask them to order their choice of food for you; 4. Don’t ask awkward questions like ‘Oh so you aren’t married yet?’ Or ‘Don’t you have kids’ or ‘Why didn’t you buy a house?’ Or why don't you buy a car? For God’s sake it isn’t your problem; 5. Always open the door for the person coming behind you. It doesn’t matter if it is a guy or a girl, senior or junior.  You don’t grow small by treating someone well in public; 6. If you take a taxi with a friend and he/she pays now, try paying next time; 7. Respect different shades of opinions. Remember what's 6

Love Was Her

Are you addicted to looking for love?? Are you constantly searching for the "right one" someone to love you? I grew up as the only child of my parents. My dad, an oil tycoon and my mother, a pioneer beauty care entrepreneur. I have never really lacked for nothing. Except one thing was missing; Finding love, or as I liked to call it  "Finding true love" My work as an events entrepreneur got me to meet a lot of people outside my small suburban office in Paris, France. My friends tried hooking me up on a date a million times but most of them didn't really work out. The few ones that did never went beyond a year sadly. Because I was very needy and was always craving for attention and love from these women when they were not equally emotionally ready to give one (same feeling) of love in return. I would regularly be giving out expensive gifts and presents when they had not really required of it. By doing all these, I was hoping to buy their love and affection. Bu

I Really Miss Him

Do you have a husband or a wife you don't talk to much  because he/she made you very angry or upset.?? I loved waking up everyday in the morning to read his short love messages hidden under my pillow and to the the smell of his breath and the kiss on my forward to say; Good morning beautiful, how do you do. He would then carry me out of bed so I can go take my shower and make breakfast ready for our two kids before they go to school. Later I will make his favourite coffee with milk and omelette for him for both of us to enjoy before we both leave together for work. John enjoyed driving me to work and picking me up after work every day. Even though I had my own car, he never allowed me to drive myself to work. He will often say... "I love for us to talk to ourselves, argue, make jokes agree and disagree on issues we both don't understand about each other and our lives. We did that everyday in every possible mood you can ever imagine; the bad arguments mostly, the I'

Build Up Your Own Man

He was having his supper today in his office That was when a female co-worker  joined him. Hi there handsome, you're really looking good today. You're looking so fine I can eat you up, she said. I thought I have told you several times to stay away from me woman. I'm a married man. Can you respect that at least? Oh come on, don't be shy, I won't bite. Just try me tonight. I've been admiring your cuteness in this office for so long. I can't hide my feelings for you anymore. You really turn me on she said, have I told you that? Take me anywhere you want tonight handsome and just have fun with me all you like. I'm all yours tonight baby boy. Can we go now?? She asked. No. I'm not going anywhere with you tonight or tomorrow. I'm married and besides you are nothing like my wife. You're not even half the woman my wife is. You girls of today are very lazy, you think sex, beauty, great body shape and curves are all it takes to get a man. Don

The Greatest Happiness Formular Is Being Content

Last year, a customer came by my shop and dropped off a bag for repair. When I opened the bag to fix the zip, I found some pieces of jewelry in one of the pockets. I didn't realise it at first but then I looked closer and saw that it was made of real gold. I would have probably made a lot of money If I  had sold it for cash. Because you know,  I'm a very poor old Indian man. Maybe it would have solved all my problems and I wouldn't have had to work so hard again in my life. But something stopped me. I don't know why, but I just kept the jewelry back in the bag and I continued working. A few days later, the lady returned to collect her bag and I gave it back to her and I told her about the jewelry. She was surprised, shocked and relieved at the same time. She asked if she could take a photo of me and I said yes and she  left. And I had already forgotten about it. Until one day when one of my friends came running towards me with a newspaper in his hand. He showed it t

Raising Our Children With Values

How are we raising our children today to prepare for the future tomorrow? Yesterday, a 16 year old Swedish girl, Greta Thunberg was named Time Magazine's Person Of The Year 2019. She has over the years been campaigning for cleaner environments for our earth and how we humans can make it safe for everyone. But it was what she said in her speech after her award that got me thinking deep about the many ways we can raise our children better and to be creative, and responsible adults in the future. In the presence of  presidents and powerful people around the world, this young 16 year old girl was able to tell all these powerful people a piece of her mind in boldness and in confidence. She said: "Our leaders are not behaving as if we are in an emergency. In an emergency you change your behaviour. If there is a child standing in the middle of the road and cars are coming at full speed you don't look away because it feels uncomfortable. You immediately run out and rescue th

Be Independent In Your Own Thinking

Don't expect the truth to be popular before you believe it. Just because everyone agrees or believes in it does not make that thing or that statement true. Be independent in your own thinking and thoughts. Judge everything fairly and objectively from what  you are told to what  you see before you finally make a decision.     Don't take things lightly or casually, ask questions to get to know more and understand better so you can make good judgements when making decisions. Be aware of influences from people and circumstances that try to change the way you think after you finally make your independent decision. Stand firm on your own, stand firm with what you believe in.  Remember again, judge the positives and negatives sides of everything. Trust your instincts. Hold unto the truth at all cost. *Kwame Sarpong*

Understanding People In This Life

Not everyone has a two-income family (a husband and wife) who work to provide for their home  and not everyone has ways of getting help easily from other people.   Likewise not everyone has money in their savings account to fall back on in times of financial troubles. Not every parent has a reliable babysitter to trust and care for their babies or a relaxed vehicle they can feel comfortable in as they drive. Some people only have themselves in good times and in bad. They did not have the opportunity to be advised and the guidance to be told what to do and what not to do. Some people live from paycheck to paycheck. They deserve our respect not our criticism or condemnation. As you can see, the world is cruel and wicked enough as it is. We do not stop to think what others do to get by everyday. We get too busy thinking about ourselves and our own families not others. We may not be struggling in life but others really are. So appreciate everyone's hustle. So before yelling at p

What Consumes Your Mind Controls You

We live in a competitive Information world today. Competitive Information because every bit of information, whether bad or good,  from a single one to about a billion of them is fighting to get our undivided attention. There are only two places these Information we see (on TV) read ( in Newspapers) and listen ( to on Radio) are hoping to get to; and that's our minds and our hearts. From movie producers and directors in Hollywood, Music and Record producers to advertisers and marketers promoting famous products and brands. They capture our attention by predicting (guessing) our moods and thoughts before they finally put up words, images and video content that can convince us immediately to buy their products. They simply capture our minds by making us answer simple random and general questions about human behaviour and from our Yes and No answers, they are able to study our ways of thinking and then go on to craft or design messages that will convince us to buy that iPhone 11 Pro

Diamond In The Rough

*Diamond In The Rough* Diamond In the rough Your tales of greatness have been foretold through the ages Yet you are still struggling to shine Too many doubts still fill your head But you cannot judge a book by its cover Because your covering may not look attractive Although you are a glittering light that sparkles You are buried in the heap of sand Not intended to be found But you will be found when your appointed time comes Diamond in the rough The distance between you and your great destiny is not that far So be strong and bold to wait Do not be broken by the immense pain of failure For uneasy is the head that wears the crown of victory and triumph For your greatness to stand the test of time You must be wounded bruised and shamed Like a true warrior must You shall live to tell your tales And your scars of failure will bear you witness How far you have come Do not be ashamed to share your scars as lessons For you are forever meant to be a shining light for oth

Control Your Tongue To Save Your Life

Your words are very powerful. They have the power to make you and break you. Who says these words, your tongue Do not treat the tongue like a little piece of flesh inside your mouth For it is the band of fire that burns out all good things just  with the use of words And also the cold ice breaker of soft words that can cool and soften the angered heart Use your words wisely, choose your words carefully Remember your tongue has no bones but it is strong to break someone's heart and kill a person's soul if you are not very careful of what you say. May the words on your tongue bring you peace and not quarrel If it should ever put you in trouble because you couldn't hold on to your words whiles in anger or frustration, try and remember this quickly, you cannot arrest it or send it  to jail for bringing you trouble for it will always lie as though innocent inside your mouth Yet  it has the power to destroy you and make you great at the same time So control it and tame

Dear Woman

*Dear Woman* Dear Woman Do not be ashamed of who you are For you are the pillar of strength and power For ages you have been our world's caregiver Nature's true mother And God's own ambassador The world is formed from you and you complete it You are the diamond that glitters in bright light in this dark world today You are a symbol of love, tenderness and care If only you knew how precious you are Oh dear woman Dear Woman Did you ever know that you are a man's joy and happiness His wise counsel and oracle of wisdom Yet your value is not much appreciated in a man's world You suffer silently and quietly out of love for everybody's sake You rise early morning to attend to your family You ensure everyone is cared for But who cares for you? Yet you put on a brave face and a smile and stand beside the man who takes all your glory If only I could take your pain and sorrow away And replace with endless joy Just for you to shout and leap for joy

I Learn To Give

*I Learn To Give* I learn to give not because I have plenty but because I understand how it feels like to have nothing. I learn to give not because I'm dumb and stupid for giving wholeheartedly but because I understand this principle that no one has ever become poor from giving joyfully. I learn to give because I understand that giving is not just making donations or doing charity works but it is about making a difference in somebody's life no matter how small it is. I learn to give because I understand that we rise by lifting others up with us. Because we were once down there and unrecognised until someone had empathy and compassion on us to lift us to the higher place we are today. So I learn to give also by returning a favour I learn to give because I am a benefactor of mercy and grace and the devine providence of God. My blessings are multiplied as I learn to give freely to others from my heart. Because I recognise that all that I have is given unto me by the grace and
