What Consumes Your Mind Controls You

We live in a competitive Information world today. Competitive Information because every bit of information, whether bad or good,  from a single one to about a billion of them is fighting to get our undivided attention.
There are only two places these Information we see (on TV) read ( in Newspapers) and listen ( to on Radio) are hoping to get to; and that's our minds and our hearts.
From movie producers and directors in Hollywood, Music and Record producers to advertisers and marketers promoting famous products and brands. They capture our attention by predicting (guessing) our moods and thoughts before they finally put up words, images and video content that can convince us immediately to buy their products. They simply capture our minds by making us answer simple random and general questions about human behaviour and from our Yes and No answers, they are able to study our ways of thinking and then go on to craft or design messages that will convince us to buy that iPhone 11 Pro Max at a $1,099 in a blink of an eye without we thinking about it.  Or better still that Louis Vuitton or Fendi handbag for $3,000 in a snap.
Why??? Because these companies have been able to capture our minds and hearts with their products so much that we often see other products as inferior quality and only theirs as an accepted product of high quality even though both products are of same value and function.
In connection to our personal lives, we often have negative attitudes like anger, bitterness, sadness, stress and anxiety etc, we struggle to shake them off our minds because we feel them, and we have every right to feel that way because other people have done bad things to us and our brains with the help of our minds helps us to think and react to our feelings that way.  Feeling that way in our minds and hearts is a right reaction because of the bad things done to us. But it becomes destructive and poisonous when we continue to hold on to those negative thoughts or feelings for so long without letting them go or freeing ourselves (our minds) completely of it.
Because we convince our minds and hearts with the words we tell ourselves that we still have every right to feel that way after a long time when in reality we should have been able to forget about it or put our mind off it because that bad thing has happened and passed on and that person who probably did those bad things to us needs to be forgiven.
To connect these two examples, by now, we should come to understand that the things that control our minds whether in a negative or positive way is able to control or consume our minds for that long because we allow it to. And we allow it because we convince ourselves or allow other people to convince us that it is the right thing to do. Especially the negative emotions or feelings.

So let me end by asking you again,

What consumes or control your mind?

Do those thoughts or feelings control you in a negative or in a positive way?

How Failure Breeds Great Achievers

I get asked by many people a lot of times... Why do you always like writing motivational stories and messages to inspire others. What inspires you, and what do you get from doing that  every morning anyway? My answer has always been simple. To prevent people  especially you from giving up in life when you face the least form of failure. My greatest wish is to provide hope, faith and reason for you not to give up in life. I would like you to think of me   as your symbol of Inspiration for each day. Most people, ironically, think  that people who always inspire, motivate and encourage other people don't have problems,  they think they have a cozy and smooth life, that's why they are able to encourage people. But believe me, that's not true. On the contrary, those kind of people like me, are the kinds of people facing all sorts of problems, challenges and difficulties in life. The trick here, however is, I have chosen to look at  my failures, challe...

Everything Is Temporary

Corona Virus has proved that everything around us is so temporary. Things that our lives revolved around...work, gym, malls, movies and other social activities have all gone for a toss. These were things which used to occupy our time and attention virtually everyday, so much that we neglected what was most important to us in the first place. We are learning to live without them now, as our only option these days, is to stay indoors to keep ourselves safe. It is teaching us all  one thing,  that in the end, our home and families really matter. They are our point of safety in difficult times like these. So should this crisis come to an end, which will be very soon,   do know where your priorities lie henceforth. It is not in your work, or your insatiable ambitions. It is with your family. An Attitude Of Gratitude

To have an attitude of gratitude is the greatest virtue anyone  can have. Because it shows that you are content with the little you have and a happy expectation of all you are yet to have and enjoy in life. If you really want your life to change, then you need to add the habit of  gratitude. I realised that our generation of today take the power of being grateful for granted. Because we are a generation that is burnt on having more and more everyday, we quickly lose sight of the important things we already have that is keeping our life afloat at this moment. It's almost as if each one of us is in competition with one another when it's not supposed to be so. I was born with a disability from birth, an advanced form of poliomyelitis. I had twisted hands and legs as a child so I was only able to crawl on the floor. That was my only way to move. I hated that and myself so much because I wanted to walk just like everybody else. I was consumed so much by hate and ingratitude ...
