The Success Equation

In the song "Billionaire" by Travis McCoy and Bruno Mars, Bruno Mars sing; "I wanna be a billionaire so freaking bad, buy all of the things I never had. I wanna appear on the cover of Forbes Magazine, standing next to Oprah and the Queen. But every time I close my eyes, I see my name in shinning lights. A different city every night, oh wow, I swear, the world better prepare, for me when I become a billionaire.

I love this song and I still do. But my love for it goes beyond just the song. It shines the light on the wishful thinking of two young men who are talking about their desires to become rich (Billionaires) at all cost. Because the glits and glamour that come with being a billionaire must be so thrilling and exciting.

Like them, we all see millionaires and billionaires and desire so much to be like them and enjoy the same kind of glits and the flashy lifestyle that they are enjoying.

But permit me to draw your mind on to something important,  Have we all thought about the painful sacrifices most of them had to go through before they got to where they are now.
There are also people ( especially young men and women of our current generation who assume or think that every rich person got his wealth or money by evil or foul means, hence they don't deserve their wealth.

Here is the sad part and the reality that most of us do not know and tragically may never understand,  most rich or wealthy men worked hard and sacrificed almost everything they loved and cared about to get what they have now. So just like in the principles of Napoleon Hill, you cannot just desire and wish to be rich, you have to work for it. You have to have a stronger desire bigger than yourself sometimes to work hard to achieve something, achieve a purpose and build a dream which eventually can have money value.

As Christians, sadly, some of us think that we can pray loudly and shout out all the spiritual words of spiritual forces of success into being to help us become rich, but that will never be possible. Because even God did not create the world out of wishful thinking or by chance, he designed, planned and executed perfectly each of his creation before he spoke them into existence. That is, he already knew what he wanted a tree to like before he brought them to life, he knew what human beings must look like before he created us. If that is not careful planning and design, then tell me what that is?

Prayer is not part of the success equation. Having a plan and working hard with a strategy is the success equation. Steve Harvey once said this; "Don't ever go before God with a prayer, before you go to him with a prayer, have a plan and vision first about what you want to do. I believe God sees through a deligent person who has an undying determination to do something meaningful with his or her life. Not just a prayer warrior or a prophetic person.

Learn to effectively use righteousness and the success equation to your advantage. And you will make it too I promise you. Not the other way around. You will be sorely disappointed if you think only the latter will carry you through.

The world moves in principles and codes not just by accidental design or some magic from space.  So do well to adjust accordingly based on how each of these principles works.

One last thing before I end, to my fellow young men and women do not disrespect wealthy or rich people or for that matter hard working people, because you saw one person using his or hers in an unacceptable ways. Not everyone acquired what he or she has through dubious means.

The irony of it though, this our generation don't have anything sustainable of worth to show for the things we do yet we want to rob shoulders with those who have sustained their wealth or money for years.

How is that possible?? Are we ready to sacrifice something of worth?
Are we ready to serve and take instructions?
And are we ready to adapt or change in uncomfortable environments??

The night does not come before the day. Be prepared to follow and adapt to rules and principles.

We attract what we work and plan for not what we wish for.

I rest my case.

Your Competition

Just remember, your competition isn't other people Your competition is; Your procrastination to getting important things done Your ego, that makes you think you are above everyone else Your unhealthy eating habits and health choices The knowledge you neglect because you think you know it all or because you think others don't have an opinion on a matter because they are not intelligent The negative mindset and behaviour you're nurturing because because you think you are not worth something Your lack of Creativity. Failing to explore new ideas or try new things because you think you will fail or not succeed again. You're not in competition with anyone but yourself. How To Treat A Man

Men are often stereotyped for being weak or soft if they show their love or affection openly. But the truth is, men also need love too. Men need tender loving care and affection and attention just like women do. Caring, showing love and affection and giving attention is not only about women. It is about men too. Men also need early morning calls, just for their women to tell them sweet words too, encouraging words to carry them through the tough day they are already having or that sweet short text message you can send him just for him to know you love him and you are thinking about him. This is the reason why most married men  turn their attention to slay queens and side chicks looking for this kind of treatment. And not necessarily for sex. So from now on, ladies, start also calling your men and husbands, tell him sweet words, encourage him and inspire him,  learn to compliment him on his good looks, what he wears and appreciate with much admiration what he does for you....

The Blueprint To Racism

In this moment of a very dark chapter for all the black race across the globe, I began wondering what the death of the late American, George Floyd really meant to the Black African in America and in Africa. While thinking about this, my mind went back to an audio I have of a college graduation speech  that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave in Detroit in the mid 1950s. In his speech, the first thing, he asked the students and their professors (I imagine black and white people seated) was all my dear black people gathered here, I am asking you today ..... what is your blueprint at this moment? Nobody answered or said a word. He went on to tell the graduating students to work very hard to find their purpose in life. And not to play second fiddle  to anybody whether white or black, hispanic or asian. Because every human being here on earth is special and created uniquely by God, each of us giving a special talent or gift. He was giving this speech, following a similar incident...
