Support Small Business Owner Friends And Family To Grow

To all my self-employed, small business owner friends and family,  this article is dedicated to us!!!!

Rihanna releases a lip gloss, people buy it.  Michael Jordan puts out new trainers in stores, people flock to these stores to buy them instantly.
Dr. Dre  has new headphones, people buy it. Oprah Winfrey, the richest black woman in the world introduces a new weight loss and diet control program, people jump on board and flow with it.

Beyoncé has a new concert, people queue in line to go spend £250 on a ticket just to watch her performance.

A friend or family member of ours starts a business, and soon we become weary.  We say things like "Not sure this is going to work"  "This business you are starting is not going to go anywhere, I'll give you only 6 months, it will collapse to the ground"  " this your product is too expensive, you will be out of business in no time if you don't reduce your prices"
Those of you, putting out negative comments like these to discourage your friends or family member from starting a business,  why are you so quick to support or grow a business of someone you don't know, who by the way, has plenty money already.

But you can find a million reasons not to support someone you know to grow his or her business in the same way. Remember, those people you are supporting or shouting about their brands on social media everyday as the best brand or of  having a quality product, started  out as a small business owner or entrepreneur too, just like your friend or family member has started today.

Also remember this, when you support a small business to grow, you are helping families feed their kids,  pay mortgages and feed other people who are dependent on them for a daily meal like the homeless or orphans in your community. For all you know, you may be helping these less fortunate people in the community have good job opportunities to do. So they can also have something meaningful to support their families. Do you not know that when you support a family member, a friend or someone you know to start a business you pave way for the beginning of wealth creation, not just for them or you but for many people and generations to come after you all.
All you do for these rich people and celebrities, when you support their businesses is to add a few more zeros to their already fat bank account, which they may not necessarily need you to double or tripple it for them. You just think about that carefully.

So, with all this being said and preached to you, next time you see a friend posting about their business on Facebook or Instagram, give them a quick like, share their page or comment on them and encourage them to grow bigger and better until they attain a successful height.
You don't even have to buy their product or service necessarily but the fact that you are sharing their business page, promoting their ideas  to others for further business investment  opportunities and developments in the future, you help them gain a lot of exposure as against the already famous people who are already have the exposure.

The Chinese people have a proverb that says "Give a man a fish and you will feed him for only a day but teach that same man how to fish, and you will feed him for a lifetime"

A word to the wise is enough.

Let me end it here.

Everything Is Temporary

Corona Virus has proved that everything around us is so temporary. Things that our lives revolved around...work, gym, malls, movies and other social activities have all gone for a toss. These were things which used to occupy our time and attention virtually everyday, so much that we neglected what was most important to us in the first place. We are learning to live without them now, as our only option these days, is to stay indoors to keep ourselves safe. It is teaching us all  one thing,  that in the end, our home and families really matter. They are our point of safety in difficult times like these. So should this crisis come to an end, which will be very soon,   do know where your priorities lie henceforth. It is not in your work, or your insatiable ambitions. It is with your family. Looking for Mr. Right And Mrs. Right

Any man who  tolerates all your nonsense as a woman and still finds you  perfect in his own eyes is your Mr. Right Likewise, any woman who tolerates all your stupidity as a man, and yet is able to submit under your authority as a man and love you is the Mrs. Right. No man or woman will check out all your boxes of being perfect or not a perfect match. Understand this one truth!!!! Here's a little revelation for us all to understand; there can be no decent woman or man just for only you. There are millions of decent people out there, just that they may not be that stunning model of a woman you're looking for or the man with six packs with a full beard. The moment you think of yourself too important to be in a different league than any other person just because you are wearing some designer dresses and suits and so you start rejecting suitors who you think are beneath your overrated standards, remember quickly that we all have our flaws. To help you reflect on this better, ...

An Attitude Of Gratitude

To have an attitude of gratitude is the greatest virtue anyone  can have. Because it shows that you are content with the little you have and a happy expectation of all you are yet to have and enjoy in life. If you really want your life to change, then you need to add the habit of  gratitude. I realised that our generation of today take the power of being grateful for granted. Because we are a generation that is burnt on having more and more everyday, we quickly lose sight of the important things we already have that is keeping our life afloat at this moment. It's almost as if each one of us is in competition with one another when it's not supposed to be so. I was born with a disability from birth, an advanced form of poliomyelitis. I had twisted hands and legs as a child so I was only able to crawl on the floor. That was my only way to move. I hated that and myself so much because I wanted to walk just like everybody else. I was consumed so much by hate and ingratitude ...
