The Human Connection

Sitting here looking at a doctor friend's resume.
A very impressive resume (CV) I can see here,   but his job description lacks something very important, something that can connect him to understand whatever his patient is feeling as a doctor.  A feeling that is humane and a genuine concern for a sick patient who comes to sit before him  at the hospital.

That genuine feeling and concern is what I like to call "The Human Connection".  Let me help you understand this better;

I'm very sure you will be very angry if you have a  serious headache, you go to the hospital to see a doctor, he asks you what is wrong with you, you tell him you have a serious headache. And without asking you some more questions to understand you, he goes ahead and prescribes paracetamol tablets for you to take every morning and evening after meals.

Tell me honestly, how will you feel?? I believe you will feel more angrier than before right?
That is exactly what I mean by having a human connection here.
Yes, you are sick and in great pain, but you also wish for the doctor or nurse to be a little caring and show a little concern as he or she gets himself or herself ready to treat you.

Sometimes the way most doctors and nurses even attend to you before they finally treat you can either make you feel better or much worse even before they go ahead to give you medicine.

This same human connection was what our grandparents and old folks uses to call VIRTUE.

I believe we still call it by the same name today.
Treating your fellow human being with respect and dignity even though you may not know him or her.
A moral character our society needs today but I guess you can't find it anywhere today. It's not in our workplaces, not in our schools and not even in our churches.

This connection is made up of love, care, respect, dignity, honour and the most important of all having a matured mind.

Without these character sets,  we can not grow fully as humans that can help our society and its people grow.

Hopefully, this COVID-19 pandemic across the world,  is teaching the entire human race these character qualities which was once missing.

But the question to you and me is.... Can we sustain it?    If we are serious about taking care of nature and humanity, how long are we going to continue to do this?

I hope it doesn't disappear on us as soon as we find a cure for this dreadful Corona virus.

To help you adopt and continue to practice them in your personal life...let me ask you these questions....

You are an employer... But how do you treat your employees. Do you disrespect and treat them anyhow because they work for you?
Where is the human connection?

Employee, do you take your work at the company for granted. You don't like to  follow instructions.   You always come to work late and reply rudely to the people you work with.
How do you expect the company to grow and for you to develop.
Where is the human connection?

Wife..... Your husband is acting tense, sad and moody these days. Don't draw conclusions  quickly and say he is cheating on you.. Perhaps your husband may be at the point of losing his job. Understand how to treat him and comfort him in his difficult time and stop yelling like crazy anytime you see him.

Again I ask, where is your human connection??

Husband..... who doesn't understand that it's unclean to have sex with your wife in her menstrual period. You must give her time to cleanse herself and totally recover.
She denies you sex, and you also deny her money to run the home and take care of the children.

She has now become public enemy number 1 in your eyes.
Where is the human connection?

To the politician and state official... who don't understand that the power they have come from the people and not the other way around.

Instead of they serving the people and speaking truth to power... they enjoy treating people as slaves
Where is the human connection??

If we are serious about changing anything we don't like in our society and our world today, we should not look unto our leaders only for answers. But we must first look inside ourselves first.

No single individual is responsible for making change happen.
We all are.

Looking for Mr. Right And Mrs. Right

Any man who  tolerates all your nonsense as a woman and still finds you  perfect in his own eyes is your Mr. Right Likewise, any woman who tolerates all your stupidity as a man, and yet is able to submit under your authority as a man and love you is the Mrs. Right. No man or woman will check out all your boxes of being perfect or not a perfect match. Understand this one truth!!!! Here's a little revelation for us all to understand; there can be no decent woman or man just for only you. There are millions of decent people out there, just that they may not be that stunning model of a woman you're looking for or the man with six packs with a full beard. The moment you think of yourself too important to be in a different league than any other person just because you are wearing some designer dresses and suits and so you start rejecting suitors who you think are beneath your overrated standards, remember quickly that we all have our flaws. To help you reflect on this better, ...

An Attitude Of Gratitude

To have an attitude of gratitude is the greatest virtue anyone  can have. Because it shows that you are content with the little you have and a happy expectation of all you are yet to have and enjoy in life. If you really want your life to change, then you need to add the habit of  gratitude. I realised that our generation of today take the power of being grateful for granted. Because we are a generation that is burnt on having more and more everyday, we quickly lose sight of the important things we already have that is keeping our life afloat at this moment. It's almost as if each one of us is in competition with one another when it's not supposed to be so. I was born with a disability from birth, an advanced form of poliomyelitis. I had twisted hands and legs as a child so I was only able to crawl on the floor. That was my only way to move. I hated that and myself so much because I wanted to walk just like everybody else. I was consumed so much by hate and ingratitude ...

How Failure Breeds Great Achievers

I get asked by many people a lot of times... Why do you always like writing motivational stories and messages to inspire others. What inspires you, and what do you get from doing that  every morning anyway? My answer has always been simple. To prevent people  especially you from giving up in life when you face the least form of failure. My greatest wish is to provide hope, faith and reason for you not to give up in life. I would like you to think of me   as your symbol of Inspiration for each day. Most people, ironically, think  that people who always inspire, motivate and encourage other people don't have problems,  they think they have a cozy and smooth life, that's why they are able to encourage people. But believe me, that's not true. On the contrary, those kind of people like me, are the kinds of people facing all sorts of problems, challenges and difficulties in life. The trick here, however is, I have chosen to look at  my failures, challe...
