Building a Resilient Mind

Hold yourself responsible to higher standards  than anybody else expects you to be after you have been through so much pain.

Never pity yourself, never look down on your own self  and never entertain negative thoughts either, not even as a joke.
For as we have all come to know, you are exactly what you think you are.

No matter how discouraging life may be for you, never say you can't do something or try anything... for everything we see in this world today was once thought to be impossible to do, but today, we can all see it  is done.

Until you try again and again, you will never know how strong you are or how far you can go in your life.

What's your excuse in giving up??

Learn to build a strong wall of positivity around your negative mind by believing and saying: it is possible, I can do it!!!!

The Paradox of Our Times

*THE PARADOX OF OUR TIMES* Is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers Wider freeways and roads but smaller viewpoints We spend more, but we have less. We have bigger houses, but smaller families More conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees, but less sense More knowledge, but less judgement More experts, but more problems More medicines, but less healthy lives We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too little and hate too often We have learnt how to make a living, but not how to make a life. We have added years to life, but not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back But have trouble crossing the street to meet or greet the new neighbour. We have conquered outer space, but not our inner hearts We've cleaned up the air in our environment  but destroyed our souls. We claim to love all people but quick to show our prejudice We've higher incomes, but lower morals. We'v...

USA And The Western World is Against Polygamy.. Our Ghana Law is Against LGBT Rights. Will They Allow To Set Up a Polygamy Office In Their Country??

On June 26 2015, the US supreme court struck down all state laws banning same - sex marriages and legalised in all the fifty states across America. I remember that day, pretty well watching CNN seeing then host taking the live feed Anderson Cooper in a jubilant mood. Pictures from the supreme court also painted the same picture. Men kissing men passionately, and women kissing women passionately and locking tongues as well. All this outside the US supreme court for the whole country and the whole world to see that the United States of America, the greatest free country on earth is now fully endorsing gay marriage and approving LGBT rights. The gay pride parade was insane, trust me. A few months later, some European Union countries also joined in and legalised it unanimously. I could recall on that evening I called up one of my Brazilian friends, a woman who had always been a strong advocate and a strong supporter of LGBT rights to pick her mind on what had just happened in the US. ...

I Am Not My Skin

Have you ever felt the hot flash of the evils of racism run through the veins of your body? Imagine having to feel this horrible and horrifying impact everyday of your life in today's world. The story begins with one of my Brazilian students telling me this... "Kwame, I hate it so much being a black woman in Brazil today" Trust me when I tell you..ok?? You won't understand what I mean today but someday somehow you will. That was what she said to me on Saturday just when we were about rounding up our English class for the weekend. I could very well relate to her story of racial abuse and the big gap of racial discrimination and isolation in Brazil. Because I had faced just a similar ordeal when I was a young boy in a German Public High School in 1998 when the hippy boys in the school and in my class will usually touch my skin and feel their fingers to see if they will have black stains on their fingers as they touched me. But they felt nothing of such. And in ang...
