The Power of Agreement

What do you have in common with the people you claim to love? What do you have in common with your husband, with your wife, with your brother, with your sister, with your mother or with your father? Do you know the world looks messy now because a lot of us have become selfish? We are not willing lately to bind ourselves to a purpose, to a mission, a cause for greater good that can tie us to the greater success of everyone connected to us. In 2017, I got on a language exchange app to improve my French and German language learning. As I started to talk with most of the people in the app, I realised they couldn't teach me their language in English perfectly like I wanted them to. So I decided to teach them English so when they become better with English someday, they can teach me their language well for me to understand. Never did I think teaching people will bind me to them and cause me to write everyday to motivate and encourage them to greatness personally. Today I can bodly ...

The Blueprint To Racism

In this moment of a very dark chapter for all the black race across the globe, I began wondering what the death of the late American, George Floyd really meant to the Black African in America and in Africa. While thinking about this, my mind went back to an audio I have of a college graduation speech  that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave in Detroit in the mid 1950s. In his speech, the first thing, he asked the students and their professors (I imagine black and white people seated) was all my dear black people gathered here, I am asking you today ..... what is your blueprint at this moment? Nobody answered or said a word. He went on to tell the graduating students to work very hard to find their purpose in life. And not to play second fiddle  to anybody whether white or black, hispanic or asian. Because every human being here on earth is special and created uniquely by God, each of us giving a special talent or gift. He was giving this speech, following a similar incident...

The purpose of Hardwork or Sacrifice

Why do we work so hard or sacrifice so much for something?? What does hardwork or sacrifice mean to us?? What are we expecting to get in return from our hardwork or sacrifice?? Is it all worth it at the end?? We all have come to believe and understand for many years now that it pays to work hard. Many of us have different reasons why we work hard or sacrifice so much. For majority of us, we work hard every day so we can have a lot of money to do or get whatever we wish or desire for. But the real purpose of our hardwork should not be about money but should be focused on value and impact I believe. Think of these great people who have made their mark in the history of our world..... Jesus, Mohammed, Solomon, Mahatma Gandhi, Bill Gates,  Michael Jackson, Steve Jobs, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama among a few. What did all these great men and many more like them have in common? Value and Impact. Not the desire to make money. They had a greater purp...

Knowing Your Standards And Expectations

Be honest with people about who you are, what you want and how you expect them to treat you. Your standards will only scare the people who are not meant for you away Those who are meant for you will stay no matter your standards. The Anxiety Hole

I was always his favourite niece growing up. I used to sit on his lap with joy and excitement everytime he will visit my mum, his sister. He will always buy me scented flowers decorated in a little pot. He will tell me to put one flower in my hair and place the rest of them beside the window facing his room so at night, before he sleeps, with just one look, he can think of how beautiful I am. I did as he instructed without fail everytime until I was 16. On my 16th birthday, everybody gave me a gift. My favourite uncle this time said he was going to show me something special before he gives me the gift. I was raped forcefully like a sex slave by my dear uncle on the same night of my 16th birthday. I couldn't tell my parents, I couldn't confide in my siblings for I was ashamed, sad and didn't know who to trust with this abominable secret. My uncle threatened to kill me with JuJu if I ever mentioned this to anyone. So I didn't. Today, I am a full grown woman, marrie...

The 21st century Leadership

A picture was on my Facebook wall portraying a pack of wolves; marching on an icy mountain in an orderly manner. The first three wolves leading the whole pack look very old and sick. Yet they are the ones walking Infront. Because they are giving them direction as to where to go. The next 5 behind the first three are the strongest of the pack. They protect the front side from any attack ahead. The next five that follows right behind the first five are also the strongest too. Their job in the team is to protect the pack from any backside attack. The last wolf who is walking a few metres away behind all the pack is actually the leader of the whole pack or the team. The picture  looks like everyone else is moving fast and ahead whiles he is moving slowly. He is doing so for a reason. He is ensuring that no one or no member of his team is left behind. From the strongest to the weakest wolf, he is making sure everyone is in the line moving forward in the same direction or path. ...
