USA And The Western World is Against Polygamy.. Our Ghana Law is Against LGBT Rights. Will They Allow To Set Up a Polygamy Office In Their Country??

On June 26 2015, the US supreme court struck down all state laws banning same - sex marriages and legalised in all the fifty states across America.
I remember that day, pretty well watching CNN seeing then host taking the live feed Anderson Cooper in a jubilant mood. Pictures from the supreme court also painted the same picture.
Men kissing men passionately, and women kissing women passionately and locking tongues as well. All this outside the US supreme court for the whole country and the whole world to see that the United States of America, the greatest free country on earth is now fully endorsing gay marriage and approving LGBT rights.
The gay pride parade was insane, trust me. A few months later, some European Union countries also joined in and legalised it unanimously.
I could recall on that evening I called up one of my Brazilian friends, a woman who had always been a strong advocate and a strong supporter of LGBT rights to pick her mind on what had just happened in the US.
This is what she said to me... Kwame, you know this is the best news I have received in my entire life. So good to be true.. She added.
Herself, a bisexual, had had several arguments and matured conversations with me about this subject and I remember she had called me deranged and dumb ( when she was in her angry mood) and misinformed and biased
(when she was calm)
Sadly we have lost touch for years now, because each time we spoke the argument intensified. And the last one did, especially after I had shared with her a YouTube link of a documentary by Anderson Cooper and CNN talking about the history of gay/LGBT rights... how in the 1970s, showing that kind of tendencies as a man or woman was considered an "Act of Madness" by the American Psychological Association.
And how some brave men and women like Huey Newton (then the leader of the infamous Black Panther Movement) had voiced out in support and stood their grounds to ensure that their rights were fully recognised and respected.
All the way till today having notable celebrities like Elton John and one of my favourite giver mentors in the world Ellen De Generes championing the cause.
Just hold unto your thoughts for a while there. Will you...
In 1492 when the first whites came to Ghana, notable the danes, then later the Portuguese and finally the almighty Brits.
I'm sure you have been told during your history lessons back in school what they did.
Some good, like teaching us the ways to God and the bad parts, ironically, using the same God and Christianity to condemn our long practiced system of polygamy.
Let me paint the picture for you clearly with this example, so you can get the heading in its right context.
Suppose I come to the upper west side of Manhattan, New York as an Ghanaian (or African) and set up an Office there to arrange polygamous marriages between US women men and women or vice versa... Will the American laws grant me the freedom to run my business freely or will their top shot New York lawyers come after me strongly for breaking the laws of the state of New York??
Does it make sense to you now?? I mean.
If they can't allow me to do that and create heavenly matchmaking service between US men and African women, what right do they have on us Africans to accept LGBT rights or legalise it under our laws?

Now, I'm not basing this on religious groups or anything spiritual. But just making a common sense reference people.

If they can't do that for me legally then likewise they can't hold it against us for not wanting to legalise same-sex marriage as a black continent.

It's that simple!!

How To Treat A Man

Men are often stereotyped for being weak or soft if they show their love or affection openly. But the truth is, men also need love too. Men need tender loving care and affection and attention just like women do. Caring, showing love and affection and giving attention is not only about women. It is about men too. Men also need early morning calls, just for their women to tell them sweet words too, encouraging words to carry them through the tough day they are already having or that sweet short text message you can send him just for him to know you love him and you are thinking about him. This is the reason why most married men  turn their attention to slay queens and side chicks looking for this kind of treatment. And not necessarily for sex. So from now on, ladies, start also calling your men and husbands, tell him sweet words, encourage him and inspire him,  learn to compliment him on his good looks, what he wears and appreciate with much admiration what he does for you....

Raising Responsible Children

To be a good parent to your child or children means parents must sacrifice their desires and needs for that of their children. Because of this, you must make sure to teach them the right things and guide them on the right path so they can become the proud children you dream of them to become in the future. At this early stage of their lives, we are the only ones they are looking up to. So every thing we teach them is of utmost importance to their growth and social development. Disciplining your children can be a tough thing to do in today's world. But you risk nurturing bad children if you allow them to do wrong without setting boundaries and limits for punishment. Do your best to deter them from harm or evil. Spare the rod, spoil the child. Hopefully if you and I can do this right, our  children will be the mirror of the perfect world we seek. I leave you with the lyrics from the song, the greatest love of all by George Benson and later Whitney Houston. I believe that chi...

Trust

Many of us today did  trust in other people blindly  so much that we never thought they will do us any wrong or betray us, but they did. They took advantage of our naivety and our complete believe in them to control and manipulate us into getting what they want from us, after that,  they left us alone in the cold. All because we trusted them.We were naive to trust in the wrong people. Period! On the other hand, we were the ones people trusted so much and yet we let them down and disappointed them. To their suprise, they may have been expecting the disappointment and the betrayal to come from a complete stranger they don't know, but it came from us. We all at one point in our lives have been victims and offenders in this game of trust. It is better to tell a bitter truth to a person you love so he can cope in difficult situation in life and be self reliant and independent in all things than to tell a sweet lie that will cause someone to depend on you or trust you co...
