Hustlers  Ambition

I shared a deep quote on my Facebook wall yesterday. The quote read like this;

"If hustling works for you, don't discourage those studying. If studying works for you, don't discourage those people hustling.
Learning from the street is smart. Learning from books is equally smart.
The goal here is to succeed!!!!

This is one of my most favourite quotes in the world. And here is why it is. This thing called life that we are all living is a journey, and not a destination.
Hence, each one of us will have a different way or route to make it in life, way different from another person.

I love the American hip hop (rap) music genre. I grew up on it and loved listening to tapes from Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, Nas,  Naughty By Nature, Master P, Outkast, Snoop Dogg, Jay Z, Mobb Deep and many more other MCs in the early 90s when I was about 9 or 10 years old. One of my favourite hip hop documentaries is called "The Defiant Ones" featuring all the big wigs of rap music telling their story from when hip hop started for them and where they are now, having all turned out to be Millionaires now in their own right.
Dr. Dre (Andre Young) remembers his early days djeing in a night club in Compton, LA and his mother telling him, Dre, you better go to school, get a degree or get the hell out of my house. He did the latter because he was burnt on becoming a DJ so much he took every risk to make djeing work for him. Today, his prized possession "Beats by Dre" brought him into partnership with executives of Apple (mostly havard graduates with suma cum laude ) and today he is a billionaire. Same with Jay-Z takes over Def Jam music transforms it entirely into a billion dollar company.
Let me give you other list ofsuccessful career pathways of other people too. Think of Bill Gates, quitting Harvard of all schools to start Microsoft. (Trillion dollar company today if you ask me), Jack Ma with Alibaba, Jeff Bezos with Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg with Facebook. Football, think of Lionel Messi and his earnings, Michael Jordan, Eddie Murphy with Comedy, Steve Harvey, Oprah Winfrey with talk shows,  Will Smith and Denzel Washington with Acting,  Michael Jordan with Basketball, Celine Dion (Music), JK Rowling (Writing, Harry Potter series) George RR. Martin (Writing, A song of Fire and Ice (Game of Thrones), Michael Jackson (Music) Tyler Perry (Playwright, Actor).

All these people had different pathways to a successful life and living their dreams. They now have brilliant academic minds working for them.
Imagine for a second if any of these people had been told by their professors they wouldn't succed at what they are doing. What will they be thinking now when they see them?? (And vice versa)

Please please stop looking down on people because you perceive their daily hustle or profession to be a below standard pursuit.

You might just be shocked!!!.
Even if you sell charcoal or bamboo, sell it with pride, build a solid customer service culture and have an attitude of integrity and excellence at all times.
Remember again, your plan must be to succeed in whatever you are doing.

I am a teacher and a writer,  (books and academics)  I'm making a headway with my passion after long years of painful struggles and mental and emotional torture (mockery and ridicule). My goal is to become a billionaire in 20 years from this passion of mine.

Raising Responsible Children

To be a good parent to your child or children means parents must sacrifice their desires and needs for that of their children. Because of this, you must make sure to teach them the right things and guide them on the right path so they can become the proud children you dream of them to become in the future. At this early stage of their lives, we are the only ones they are looking up to. So every thing we teach them is of utmost importance to their growth and social development. Disciplining your children can be a tough thing to do in today's world. But you risk nurturing bad children if you allow them to do wrong without setting boundaries and limits for punishment. Do your best to deter them from harm or evil. Spare the rod, spoil the child. Hopefully if you and I can do this right, our  children will be the mirror of the perfect world we seek. Trust

Many of us today did  trust in other people blindly  so much that we never thought they will do us any wrong or betray us, but they did. They took advantage of our naivety and our complete believe in them to control and manipulate us into getting what they want from us, after that,  they left us alone in the cold. All because we trusted them.We were naive to trust in the wrong people. Period! On the other hand, we were the ones people trusted so much and yet we let them down and disappointed them. To their suprise, they may have been expecting the disappointment and the betrayal to come from a complete stranger they don't know, but it came from us. We all at one point in our lives have been victims and offenders in this game of trust.
