A Fragile World: Lessons from COVID 19

A fragile world
Oh what a fragile world we live in
We can't shake hands or hug our loved ones anymore
Suddenly we can't breathe in good air or breathe out a sigh of relief  out of fear of contracting an airborne virus
Oh what a fragile world we live in

Prices of goods and services are  falling in an instant
A must-have expensive product in stores has now become a less expensive product hiding in a small shelf
Businesses, from giant corporations to small startups are now on the verge of a collapse
What a fragile world we live in

How all things can change in an instant
How fragile our lives have become in a split second
Fear and anxiety have pounced on us like an animal pouncing on its helpless prey
Oh what a fragile world we live in

Suddenly how little  our achievements and riches have become
Where are they all now?
Why can't we boast of them now??
I will tell you where they are
They are all consumed in our fear and uncertainty of what is to happen next
As if they never existed here on this earth before
Oh what a fragile world we live in

How useless our possessions and plans have become now
They are of no value to us
We have come to prioritise safety and living healthy over them
All we are crying for is a cure to save us from this  infectious spell
Oh what a fragile world we live in

Suddenly our consciousness on our spiritual life has fast risen
We are now praying to God for answers and for redemption
How this world yearns for God now
Yet we all made him too small to fit into our hearts
Oh what a fragile world we live in

Perhaps we  can all learn to be less proud and more accepting of others
Less selfish and and more selfless to the cause and service of others
Less materialistic and more of our consciousness on unity and togetherness.

If our thoughts and actions can be guided accordingly on appreciating the life that we have first above every other fleeting things of this world, we will find this life more meaningful and a purposeful one to live for each day that passes.

I hope this my piece of writing and this fast wave of a viral disease will give you and me a thoughtful lessons we can reflect on as we live our lives here on this earth.

Safety first.

Looking for Mr. Right And Mrs. Right

Any man who  tolerates all your nonsense as a woman and still finds you  perfect in his own eyes is your Mr. Right Likewise, any woman who tolerates all your stupidity as a man, and yet is able to submit under your authority as a man and love you is the Mrs. Right. No man or woman will check out all your boxes of being perfect or not a perfect match. Understand this one truth!!!! Here's a little revelation for us all to understand; there can be no decent woman or man just for only you. There are millions of decent people out there, just that they may not be that stunning model of a woman you're looking for or the man with six packs with a full beard. The moment you think of yourself too important to be in a different league than any other person just because you are wearing some designer dresses and suits and so you start rejecting suitors who you think are beneath your overrated standards, remember quickly that we all have our flaws. To help you reflect on this better, ...

An Attitude Of Gratitude

To have an attitude of gratitude is the greatest virtue anyone  can have. Because it shows that you are content with the little you have and a happy expectation of all you are yet to have and enjoy in life. If you really want your life to change, then you need to add the habit of  gratitude. I realised that our generation of today take the power of being grateful for granted. Because we are a generation that is burnt on having more and more everyday, we quickly lose sight of the important things we already have that is keeping our life afloat at this moment. It's almost as if each one of us is in competition with one another when it's not supposed to be so. I was born with a disability from birth, an advanced form of poliomyelitis. I had twisted hands and legs as a child so I was only able to crawl on the floor. That was my only way to move. I hated that and myself so much because I wanted to walk just like everybody else. I was consumed so much by hate and ingratitude ...

How Failure Breeds Great Achievers

I get asked by many people a lot of times... Why do you always like writing motivational stories and messages to inspire others. What inspires you, and what do you get from doing that  every morning anyway? My answer has always been simple. To prevent people  especially you from giving up in life when you face the least form of failure. My greatest wish is to provide hope, faith and reason for you not to give up in life. I would like you to think of me   as your symbol of Inspiration for each day. Most people, ironically, think  that people who always inspire, motivate and encourage other people don't have problems,  they think they have a cozy and smooth life, that's why they are able to encourage people. But believe me, that's not true. On the contrary, those kind of people like me, are the kinds of people facing all sorts of problems, challenges and difficulties in life. The trick here, however is, I have chosen to look at  my failures, challe...
